Teach for Northwest Online

Northwest Online is seeking candidates for a pool of applicants who can serve as adjunct faculty teaching 100% online courses.  Courses are taught online in the fall, spring, and summer semesters with two starts or blocks each semester. Courses last for seven weeks during each block with six blocks a year.  Online Adjunct Faculty will be given a fully developed course site and be responsible for teaching the course curriculum developed and managed by the campus faculty. 
 
Northwest Online is seeking applicants who can serve as adjuncts within the following academic disciplines: Accounting, Applied Health, Business Management, Communications, Computer Science, Economics, Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Educational Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Geography, Human Resources/Industrial Organizational Psychology, International Business, Management Information Systems, Human Resource, Nursing, Data Analytics, Marketing, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physical Education, Political Science, Psychology, Public Relations, Reading, Recreation, Social Science, Criminology, Special Education, Geographic Information Systems, Speech Communications, and general education courses.

Essential Functions

  1. Teach online courses within specific discipline.
  2. Collaborate with campus faculty and program leads to deliver quality/rigorous courses.
  3. Provide timely, constructive feedback to students to help them monitor their progress and support learning.
  4. Utilize the Northwest Online course site (Canvas) to aid in student success.
  5. Participate in any professional development training as needed.
